Due to a recent system change, DOD ID numbers are now required for all legal assistance appointments. For current military members, this number is located on your CAC. If dependents wish to receive legal services, they will need their sponsor's DOD ID number in order to be helped. Retirees may retrieve their DOD ID number at https://milconnect-pki.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect/. Spouses of retirees wishing to receive legal services must have their sponsor's DOD ID number in order to be helped.
Legal Assistance/Will Appointments
Legal Assistance is done by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call 321-494-7357 during normal duty hours on Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m
Wills and/or advanced medical directives are scheduled by appointment only. Call 321-494-7357 and you will be notified of current availability. Before a will appointment is scheduled, however, you must first provide the office with your will worksheet ticket number. You can obtain that ticket number by completing a "Legal Worksheet" at the Air Force Legal Assistance website at https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil. Follow the instructions and take time to thoroughly answer each question.
Notary/Power of Attorney Service
Notaries and Powers of Attorney (POAs) are done on a walk-in basis on Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. To start building your Power of Attorney worksheet, go to https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil, select "Legal Worksheets" and click the "Create Power of Attorney Worksheet" button. Once the worksheet is complete, call our office with your ticket number.
Our primary goal and first priority is to ensure members and their families are prepared for deployment. That means the legal offices works with members to ensure everything is in order. This includes the preparation of wills, advance medical directives (living will and medical power of attorney), general/special powers of attorney, and assisting in arrangement to help support service members and their families. Victim-Witness Assistance Program
The Staff Judge Advocate, on behalf of the Wing Commander, manages the Installation Victim-Witness Assistance (VWAP) Program. The legal office's VWAP Coordinator is in a unique position to provide irreplaceable support to those service members and families who are victimized by crime.
