The Space Launch Delta 45 Small Business Office exists for small business owners interested in learning more about contracting opportunities with Patrick Space Force Base. Pursuing DoD contracts requires patience, persistence and an in-depth understanding of federal acquisition rules. We are here to help.

Our mission is to create and deliver strategies to bring innovative, agile and efficient small business solutions to the World's Premiere Gateway to Space. Our vision is for Small Businesses to be the solution of choice rather than a required program.

To identify SLD 45's current procurement opportunities, check the System of Award Management website or the E-Buy (GSA) website. Use DoDAAC-FA2521 for requirements help.

You'll want to begin by registering your business on SAM.gov (https://sam.gov/)

For help registering you can access Apex Accelerator, a DoD funded resource providing one-on-one SAM registration assistance, explanations for searching for opportunities and additional guidance. You can also contact your local Small Business Development Center which offers free counseling for new vendors and is funded by the SBA.

Make sure to know your code(s) when ready to register (see Know Your Code tab).

When ready to register for SAM, know your Federal Supply Classification Code and/or North American Industry Classification Systems Code that best fits your product or service. At this stage, it's also advised to explore the socio-economic certifications that SBA offers. One or more of these may help you secure a government contract.

  • Request a listing of the products or services they purchase.
  • If you have identified SLD 45 as one of your customers, research their requirements and familiarize yourself with the FAR and its supplements.

SPACEWERX is a government funded organization that facilitates collaboration with small technology companies through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
