The Space Launch Delta 45 public advisory page contains official announcements regarding significant events. The advisory documents, listed below, cover a wide range of topics which upcoming training exercises, facility closures, and public health advisories.

Emergency responders are on the scene. All personnel have been accounted for and there were no injuries/fatalities. 

Range officials, in coordination with Blue Origin and appropriate partners, are currently evaluating available data to determine the exact cause of the anomaly.

Debris from the anomaly could wash ashore along publicly accessible areas over the coming days or weeks, it is critical that this debris is reported to 911 for proper removal and mitigation. Launch vehicle debris is potentially hazardous, direct contact poses a risk to personal health and welfare. 

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

The Eastern Range remains fully mission capable for National Security Space Launch and continues to support operations at all other launch complexes.

The Eastern Range serves as a Department of Defense test and training range supporting critical development, testing, evaluation, and launch activities that advance national security and space capabilities. These operations often involve developmental systems and emerging technologies, and the nature of such testing carries inherent risk, including the potential for anomalies.

The 45th Security Forces Squadron is conducting a Base Defense Field Training Exercise planned from approximately 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., on May 22, 2026, at the Malabar Annex, in Palm Bay, Florida.

During the training exercise, the unit plans to utilize assets, which will create a noise similar to small explosions through the use of a Ground Burst Simulator and will utilize smoke grenades that will create clouds of green-colored smoke. Residents should not be alarmed.

Installation Traffic Update

Access improvement projects are nearing completion, and drivers should be aware of traffic pattern adjustments beginning 09 February 2026.

The South Gate is expected to reopen Monday morning, February 9th, pending final safety inspections, which may shift commuting routes.

No later than Wednesday, February 11th, the North Housing area will return to its standard security configuration, and all residents and visitors will be required to possess valid base access credentials for entry.

Residents expecting guests should ensure visitors obtain passes at the Visitor Center during normal operating hours prior to arrival to help reduce entry delays. Please monitor official installation communication channels for the latest updates and allow extra travel time during the transition period.

PATRICK SPACE FORCE BASE, Fla. – The following information is for gate closures on Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in 2026.

 

President Washington’s Birthday (Monday, February 16th, 2026)

The South Gate at PSFB will close at 2000 on Sunday, February 15. And reopen at 0600 on Tuesday, February 17.

Visitor Control Center at PSFB will close at 1630 on Friday, February 13. and reopen at 0730 on Tuesday, February 17.

The Commercial Vehicle Gate at PSFB will close at 1200 on Saturday February 14 and reopen at 0600 on Tuesday, February 17.

The Commercial Vehicle Gate at CCSFS will close at 1500 on Friday, February 13 and reopen at 0630 on Tuesday, February 17.

Visitor Control Center at CCSFS will close at 1500 on Friday, February 13. and reopen at 0630 on Tuesday, February 17.

 

 

Memorial Day (Monday, May 25th, 2026)

The South Gate at PSFB will close at 2000 on Saturday, May 23. and reopen at 0600 on Tuesday, May 26.
