Update 1/20 1745 All Force Support Squadron facilities are scheduled to resume operations tomorrow. Please be aware that some services may be temporarily degraded due to ongoing public health considerations as normal operations are safely restored.

Update 1/20 1600 Water service is being restored across affected areas. However, any building that experienced a loss of water or water pressure remains under a Boil Water Notice while required testing is conducted.
What you need to know:
• Water has been restored or is in the process of being restored to impacted facilities.
• The Boil Water Notice remains in effect for all buildings that lost water access until clearance sampling is completed and the notice is officially rescinded.
• Bioenvironmental Engineering will conduct required clearance sampling today and tomorrow, with results expected Thursday. A follow-on notification will be sent once the boil water notice is lifted.
• If your building still does not have water, contact 321-494-2778 or DSN 854-2778.
Boil Water Guidance (Required for Affected Buildings)
Until further notice, all water used for the following purposes must be boiled:
• Drinking
• Cooking and food preparation
• Making ice
• Brushing teeth
• Washing dishes
Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute, then allow it to cool before use. As an alternative, bottled water may be used for these purposes.
Water may be used without boiling for bathing, showering, laundering, and other non-consumptive uses.
Please continue to follow all Boil Water Notice guidance until official written notification confirms the notice has been lifted.

Update 1/20 0920 AAFES and the Exchange are open, but restrooms will not be available until later this afternoon. Burger King, Manhattans and Charlies will remain closed for the duration of the outage.
Update 1/20 0840 There is an ongoing water outage affecting facilities west and south of AFTAC extending to the South Gate.
Repair crews are actively working the issue. The water shutoff is estimated to last a minimum of 12 hours and could extend up to 72 hours.
For facilities that lose water pressure, a Boil Water Notice will be issued following restoration of service, if required.
Telework Guidance:
• Telework is authorized only for personnel assigned to facilities impacted by the water outage, as approved by unit leadership.
• Facilities north of AFTAC are not affected by the outage, and telework is not authorized for those areas.
Update 1/19 1800 The Child Development Center, Tides Club, Marina, and Golf Course will remain closed for at least tomorrow (1/20).
Update 1/19 1700 The Medical Group will be closed for routine care due to the water outage. Virtual care and Pharmacy drive thru will be open 0730-1200. Patients with urgent medical needs should call the Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-874-2273 or proceed to the nearest Emergency Room.

Due to a water main break, there will be a water outage affecting facilities West and South of AFTAC to the South Gate, excluding AFTAC.

The 45th Security Forces Squadron is conducting a Base Defense Field Training Exercise planned from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., March 22, and March 29, 2025, at the Malabar Annex, in Palm Bay, Florida.
During the training exercise, the unit plans to utilize assets, which will create a noise similar to small explosions through the use of a Ground Burst Simulator and will utilize smoke grenades that will create clouds of colored smoke. Residents should not be alarmed.
