You're busy, I'm busy, We're all busy. I get it!

Working at the 45th Space Wing is not for the faint of heart, or for those who prefer to "sit on the sidelines" and watch. If you work here, you are "in the game."

Right now, we are in the middle of taking on four launch missions in a little less than a month's time, a truly busy time here at the 45th Space Wing.

You're busy. I'm busy. We're all busy. I get it. It's time to stay focused!

I wish I could find the right words to convey the amount of preparation and hard work we have to do in a very short time, but I'm supremely confident we'll get it done.

Just imagine, (as I write this) we are preparing three different launch vehicles - ULA's Delta IV and an Atlas V and a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket -- for launches from three different launch pads at historic Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, all within a 13-day window.

Trust me, when I say "we," I am referring to "Team Patrick-Cape" and all our valued mission partners up and down the Space Coast and all over the country.

If there was ever a "team" effort in anything, you can be sure it involves every single facet of every single task we do prior to a launch.

But the beauty of this teamwork is that it can be seen in every corner, in everything we do at Team Patrick-Cape

Over the course of time, and all across Team Patrick-Cape, we are constantly looking at ways to more effectively - and efficiently - tweak our processes and procedures.

To do that, we need to make mission accomplishment our #1 priority, be innovative in our ideas and how we approach any obstacles that get in our way, and continually develop and train others to do this important work for years to come.

Sound familiar?

That's right! We incorporate our 45th Space Wing three main priorities into everything we do here.

This is why we will continue to ensure a disciplined process execution, explore alternatives to the status quo and continue to create and leverage development opportunities.

But now it's time to get back to work.

Let's all "reach for the stars," because that's what we do here at the home of the Sharks. "Control of the Battlefield" really does begin here.

As always, I am so proud to be your commander.

Stay focused, Sharks!
