PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Professional Development Center recently introduced a new tool to assist Team Patrick-Cape with professional development for active duty and DOD civilians.

Shark University, or SharkU, is a SharePoint site that offers easy navigation and a broad array of resources that support professional development.

The one-stop-shop allows members to sign-up for courses from their desktop designed to enhance leadership skills.

Courses are instructed by subject matter experts who discuss topics such as Evaluation Performance Report writing, progressive discipline, leadership, supervision, mentoring, communication and team building. 

Once the member completes registration, both the member and their supervisor receive an email notification with course details.

SharkU plays a key role in the 45th Space Wing priorities and commitments of investing in people and igniting innovation by assisting personnel develop their professional competencies in an efficient and cost-conscious manner.

To register for courses, visit the SharkU site via SharePoint under the 45th Force Support Squadron tab or contact the Professional Development Center.
