Jolly 18 Memorial Ceremony, 30th anniversary

The 920th Rescue Wing is hosting the 30-year anniversary of the Jolly 18 Memorial Ceremony April 5, at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Flag Plaza at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla.

Members of the 920th RQW, along with friends and family of the fallen, will honor Capts. Jan F. Fuchs and David K. Shaffner, Tech. Sgt. Ronald L. Martinez, Staff Sgt. Mark R. Judy and Airman 1st Class James A. Ferreira, who all gave their lives April 7, 1984.

Base ID card holders are invited to attend.

Sequence of events:
11 a.m.: Greetings and Introductions: Senior Master Sgt. Craig Kennedy, former Detachment 15 Pararescueman, co-worker and friend of the fallen.
□Posting of Colors: Civil Air Patrol, South Brevard Cadet Squadron
□National Anthem: Tech. Sgt. Patrick O'Shaughnessy
□Invocation: Chaplain (Lt. Col.) John Weller, 920th RQW
□Opening remarks: Senior Master Sgt. Craig Kennedy
□Guest speaker: Col. Jeffrey Macrander, 920th Rescue Wing Commander
□Folding of Flag: Retired Master Sgt. Mathew English
□21 Gun Salute: American Legion, Post 163
□Taps: American Legion, Post 163
□Closing remarks: Senior Master Sgt. Craig Kennedy
□Retiring of Colors: Civil Air Patrol, South Brevard Cadet Squadron
□11:30 a.m.: Ceremony concludes
