It is a right that every service member fights to defend and is considered one of the most privileged rights we possess.

It is the right to vote.

However, sometimes service members are unable to take advantage of this privilege because they do not know or do not understand the necessary requirements.

The Installation Voting Assistance Office provides service members, their families and retirees with help in registering to vote and answering voting-related questions.

Team Patrick-Cape is encouraged to vote in the upcoming general election Nov. 4, 2014.

Depending on your state of residence, there may still be time cast your vote by submitting an absentee ballot.

Unit Voting Assistance Officers have resources to assist voters with exercising their right to vote and are ready to help.

The Patrick AFB Voting Office is available by appointment Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed the third Friday of every month for training. The office provides assistance with voter registration, absentee ballot requests and general questions for military and civilians.

The Voting Office is located in the MPS (Pass & ID Section).  For more information, email Vote.Patrick@us.af.mil, call (321) 494-8683/VOTE, or visit http://newpreview.afnews.af.mil/patrick/votingassistance.asp.
