With safety concerns in mind, the Brevard County Sherriff's Office (BCSO) has recently directed that parking along the river on SR 401 north of cruise terminals will no longer be allowed. This is the road that leads directly to the South Gate of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.

Permanent "NO PARKING" signs are now in place.

With the high interest in tomorrow's Orion EFT-1 launch scheduled for 7:05 a.m. (with the launch window extending until 9:44 a.m.) we are doing everything possible to ensure members of our team, our Space Coast residents and all guests here for this mission have a safe and enjoyable experience.

If you are not badged, or have a placard granting you access to the Cape, we ask that you avoid SR 401 so that we can do our best to mitigate any traffic bottle-necks that may occur prior to this very historic launch.

With all that in mind, we ask that you arrive early, expect delays, remain patient, follow the directions of both the BCSO and our Air Force Security Forces personnel, and most of all, keep a "safety first" attitude.
