CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Fla. -- Brig. Gen. Wayne Monteith, 45th Space Wing commander, received a token of appreciation from members of the Vermont Air National Guard Aug. 6 at the Skid Strip at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.

The Vermont Air National Guard used the airfield at the Cape for a base of operations during their Dissimilar Aircraft Combat Training Exercise in order to train and hone their combat skills.
