Rocket Lanes Center closure 
Rocket Lanes and snack bar will close Monday, June 11 thru Tuesday, June 12 due to a planned air conditioning repair. They are expected to resume normal hours of operation on Wednesday, June 13. We apologize for any inconvenience. Call 494-2959 for any additional information. 

Junior Enlisted Appreciation Picnic
All junior enlisted members are invited to come out and enjoy outstanding food, fun, and music, June 22 at the Tides pool starting at 11 a.m. There will be a live DJ and some great games with prizes. 

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible school is June 4-8 at South Patrick Chapel 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. each day. Admission is free and open to 3 year olds through 6th graders. Pick up registration forms at Seaside Chapel or call 494-4073 for more information. 

Free phone cards 
The Airman & Family Readiness Center is giving away 1,000, 10-minute domestic calling cards to military personnel. If you would like one, please pick it up at the Airman & Family Readiness Center receptionist' s desk. The cards expire June 30, so come get one as soon as possible. 

A&FRC classes
The Airman and Family Readiness Center is hosting the following classes. All are at the A&FRC, Building 722, unless otherwise noted: 
- Pre-Separation - Wednesday, 9-10:30 a.m.
- Asian Pacific Cooking Class "Kalua Pig" - Wednesday, 4:30-6 p.m.
- Resolving Stress and Anger during the Deployment Cycle - Thursday, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- Project Team Employment - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Volunteer Job Fair (Shark Center) - Friday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. 

Summer Splash
Outdoor Recreation is hosting a day of fun June 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to include free boat and kayak rides, bell ringer and dunking booth. Refreshments and door prizes will be given. A live local variety band, On Hiatus, will play from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call Terry at 494-9692 for more information. 

Spouses Hurricane Preparedness briefing
As the 2007 hurricane season approaches, the Airman and Family Readiness Center wants members and spouses to be aware of the resources available to them. The center invites them to a Hurricane Preparedness Briefing June 5, 6-7 p.m. at the Shark Center (South Housing). Officials from base and local agencies will provide important information. 

Brevard County Civilian/Military Council scholarships
Brevard county residents who are enrolled as full-time students in an accredited high school, college or trade school are eligible to apply for a $1,000 scholarship. Application deadline is June 15. Go to www.CivMil.com to apply.
