CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Fla. -- Name: Tech. Sgts. David Thaxton and Brent Conlon, 45th Launch Support Squadron

Hometown:
Sergeant Thaxton: Marion, Ind.
Sergeant Conlon: Rochester, N.Y.

What is your primary role?
Sergeant Thaxton: Spacecraft Trainer
Sergeant Conlon: Spacecraft Competitor

Why is a Shark better than a Chicken Hawk?
Sergeant Thaxton: Because when I am swimming at the beach, I don't worry about Chicken Hawks.
Sergeant Conlon: Have you ever heard of a Chicken Hawk attack? I didn't think so.

What are the two of you looking to gain from Guardian Challenge?
Guardian Challenge affords competitors and trainers the opportunity to hone their skills by learning to quickly and effectively respond to any situation presented. It ultimately improves techniques and enhances job performance, and aids in creating a teamwork environment. I'm hoping to become a more proficient Spacecraft Maintenance Assurance Technician through training and practice.

Why is the 45th Space Wing going to win again?
Because the 45th Space Wing dominates the space launch enterprise!
