PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The 2011 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) has been extended by one week to Nov. 11!

This year's CFC kicked off on Oct. 7, and we're roughly half way to our $205,000 goal.

Your unit representatives will be contacting you, if they haven't already, to provide information, explain the campaign, and answer any questions you may have. Challenge them to introduce you to the 2,500-plus charities dedicated to making our community, our nation, and our world a better place.

With the current troubled economy, more people are finding it difficult to make ends meet, maintain a job, and even put food on the table for their families. Even the smallest donations can go a long way to help those who are in need; now, more than ever.

You choose who you support - the hungry, the homeless, the sick, children and the elderly, families who have lost their homes, abandoned animals and many more. CFC supports you - one in four federal employees or their dependents will benefit from CFC this year!

So don't forget - the 2010 CFC runs through Nov. 11. There are more than 2,500 charities dedicated to making our community, our nation, and our world a better place. Please consider the tremendous impact even $5 a month can provide in these difficult economic times!

For more information about the Combined Federal Campaign, contact your unit CFC representative or this year's project officer, Maj. Shana Figueroa, at 476-2973.
