Patrick AFB, Fla. -- Col. Robert Pavelko, vice commander, 45th Space Wing, and Chief Master Sgt. Herman Moyer, wing command chief, 45th Space Wing, joined the rest of the wing in a Warrior Run on the beach just outside of Patrick AFB last Friday, Nov. 16. This was the first wing run done on the beach, and the fastest man and women to complete the three mile trek received a turkey for their hard work.

1st Lt. Scott Balcao, 1st Range Operations Squadron, took home the turkey for the fastest male, and 2nd Lt. Alicia Wallace, 45th Space Wing Public Affairs, won the turkey for the fastest female. Conditions on the beach were not optimal for the event, and a high tide pushed the run to start earlier than anticipated, but all runners and walkers pushed their way to the finish line.
