Ernie Joy, President of the Military Officers Association of America, Cape Canaveral Chapter, Senior Master Sgt. Galen Zalace, 45th Civil Engineer Squadron, MSgt Rebecca Ewertz, 333rd Recruiting Squadron, and MSgt Michael Wynne, 45th Security Forces Squadron, presented a $6,000 check in support of Operation Warm Heart to Brig. Gen. Anthony Cotton, 45th Space Wing commander, Dec. 14.

Operation Warm Heart is a fund run by the Patrick Air Force Base First Sergeant's Council that operates solely from donations and is used to assist Airmen and their families within the wing and its tenant units.

Operation Warm Heart provides food baskets to Airmen during the Holiday season and is also used throughout the year to fund random acts of kindness.

"The holidays can be a financially stressful time for some of us, and its organizations like Operation Warm Heart that help ease that strain. I am extremely proud to be a part of an organization -- and part of an Air Force Wing -- that takes such good care of its Airmen," said Chief Master Sgt. Herman Moyer, 45th Space Wing command chief.

"This is truly the epitome of what the holiday season is about. It's about giving. It's about looking out for one another. It's about being good Wingmen," Chief Moyer said with pride.
