Comptroller technician named Ace

Staff Sgt. Anna Zyska-Ereth, Budget and Accounting Technician, 45th Comptroller Squadron, was awarded the Aces High Award Feb. 21.

The Aces High Award is given to enlisted financial mangers that have distinguished themselves with outstanding accomplishments in their careers.

Staff Sgt. Zyska-Ereth's contributions to the 45th Space Wing and her accomplishments throughout her career have made her a candidate for this award.

Since coming to Patrick Air Force Base, Staff Sgt. Zyska-Ereth has assumed the role of budget and accounting technician for the Air Force Technical Applications Center and 45th Operations Group which totals a combined budget of $441 million.

On her first duty assignment at Air University, Gunter Annex, Alabama, serving as a financial services technician, she processed nine thousand military pay documents and reduced the average process time from two weeks to less than 48 hours.

When she was deployed to Thumrait Air Base, Oman, in 2010, she launched disbursing and check cashing operations valued at more than $2.4 million per year.

Capt. Jason Gracin, deputy chief, financial management & analysis, 45th Comptroller Squadron, expressed the difficulty financial managers have in distinguishing themselves and the pride he had in Staff Sgt. Zyska-Ereth being chosen.
