Christopher D. Bulson

Colonel Christopher D. Bulson is the Vice Commander for Support, Space Launch Delta (SLD) 45, Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. He guides mission support efforts to range and launch operations, ensuring the vitality of national space activities at the only launch base for DoD and commercial Atlas, Delta, SpaceX and NASA launch vehicles. He ensures the readiness of worldwide deployable expeditionary forces; assures comprehensive base support to the SLD and 74 tenant units, and supports over 16,000 Total Force members, families, and 125,000 retirees.


Col Bulson was born in Poughkeepsie, NY, is a 2002 graduate of the Colorado School of Mines, and commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program as an Air Force Civil Engineer officer. Throughout his career, he has commanded two squadrons, served in a variety of positions at the wing, major command, and headquarters levels, and has also deployed in support of multiple contingencies, including both the Iraq and Afghanistan theaters.

Prior to his current position, Col Bulson was the Senior Air Force Advisor to the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation, Department of Defense, Arlington, Va. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
