Air Force Wounded Warriors Share Resiliency Message
U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. August O’Niell, 414th Combat Training Squadron Detachment 1 flight chief in charge of ground operations at Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, shares his experience recovering from combat wounds July 28, 2021, with Airmen at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. O’Niell was shot in both legs during a deployment to Afghanistan in July 2011. He is one of two members of the Air Force pararescue career field to ever be returned to full active-duty service without limitations after having one of his legs amputated.
