Community awards Patrick Airmen with valor

Wallace, a member of the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick AFB, Fla., received the recognition for selflessly rendering aid to a disabled motorist on a busy interstate highway. While doing so, Wallace was struck by another vehicle, was hospitalized in critical condition, underwent multiple surgeries and months of rehabilitation.
