Dr. Marshall Shepherd, a meteorologist for The Weather Channel, and Kathy Winters, a launch weather officer with the 45th Weather Squadron, discusses the unique ways their professional expertise is applied to the mission of the 45th Space Wing Dec. 17, 2015. The dialogue was filmed at the channel's studio in Atlanta, Ga., for a production that aired Jan. 10. The show also featured photos Winter’s co-worker, Tech. Sgt. Matthew Mong, who was named as the show’s “Geek of the Week.” Videos of launches their team works behind the scenes to support from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. were aired throughout the script.
