Restoration contractors treat chlorinated solvent source areas in the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Industrial Area using injection of emulsified vegetable oil and emulsified zero valent iron with a direct push rig. The technology, which has achieved 99 percent source eradication at other 45th Space Wing sites, is carefully monitored and controlled using a mobile computerized control system.
