Battling the Blaze

A Patrick AFB Fire Department P-19 Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Vehicle sprays Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) onto a burning fuel tanker truck Sept. 15 on Florida State Route 1 in Satellite Beach, Fla., supporting conventional firefighting forces in battling the blaze. The department responded as part of its mutual aid agreement at the request of Brevard County Fire Rescue, also providing a P-26 5,000-gallon water tanker and a safety officer for a total of four personnel, said Fire Chief Mark Palm, 45th Civil Engineer Squadron.
