Air Force announces civilian workforce restructuring
The 45th Space Wing will lose 56 civilian positions, not necessarily people, due to Air Force civilian workforce restructuring, 45th Space Wing Commander Brig. Gen. Anthony Cotton told Air Force civilians and their supervisors during a Commander’s Call Nov. 3 at the Patrick AFB Base Theater. “Our skilled civilian workforce enables the 45th Space Wing to accomplish its mission of delivering assured Space Launch, Range, and Combat Capabilities for the Nation; that will continue,” said General Cotton. “We are focused on shaping the force within the Air Force’s limited resources and are committed to maintaining our long history of excellence as we build the Air Force of the future.” He said voluntary reduction opportunities would be exhausted before initiating any involuntary actions.
