April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

Attending training is mandatory for active duty, reservist, and civilians, to include NAF employees. Contractors may attend with permission of their company.

Presentations will be in the base theater on alternate Tuesdays: 8:30-10 a.m. and Thursdays: 1:30-3 p.m., now through the month of May. Scheduled dates for the Patrick AFB Theater are as follow: April 16, 1:30-3 p.m.; April 21, 8:30-10 a.m.; April 30, 1:30-3 p.m.; May 14, 1:30-3 p.m.; May 19, 8:30-10 a.m.; May 28, 1:30-3 p.m. Dates for training at Cape Canaveral AFS are as follow: April 29 and May 20, both at 9-10:30 a.m.

More SAPR classes will be added, if needed, but participants are encouraged not to wait until the last day to attend. Attendance slips will be given at the end of each briefing. Attendees must provide the attendance slip to their Unit Training Manager, who will update Advance Learning Distribution Systems (ADLS) to reflect their attendance.

In addition to the 90-minute briefing, required personnel must attend three small group discussions in their unit. Discussions are leadership driven and can be led by whomever the commander chooses; however, leads must have already attended the 90-minute briefing at the theater, prior to leading a discussion. All trainings must be completed no later than Sept. 30, 2015.

Unit Training Managers will track the small group discussions attendance in-house, so please ensure you sign in at each small group discussion you attend.
