PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Twenty-five service members, civilians and key spouses graduated from the 45th Space Wing Resiliency Training Assistant Course Sept. 22, 2016, at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla.
The 3-day course is taught by Master Resiliency Trainers, who provide expertise, guidance and structure to the Resiliency Program.
“These 25 members of our military family were selected by unit leadership to be representatives and promote resiliency,” said Chief Master Sgt. Jason Lamoureux, 45th Space Wing command chief. “Resiliency Training Assistants play a vital role in building and sustaining a culture of Comprehensively Fit Airmen who are capable of addressing the unique challenges and stressors we face every day while optimizing performance both on duty and at home.”
Upon completion of the course, Resiliency Training Assistants will deliver small group unit-resilience training, assist Master Resiliency Trainers in teaching at the First Term Airman Center and assist with Wingman Days, according to Lorie Woodcock, 45th Space Wing community support coordinator.
“Resiliency Training Assistants are peers within the work centers,” Woodcock said. “They are accessible and approachable and help set the foundation for sustaining a fit, resilient and ready force.
“We are fortunate to have a skilled team of Master Resiliency Trainers who make the Resiliency Training Assistant course successful,” said Woodcock. “A special thank you goes to Staff Sgt. Richard Colon, 45th Civil Engineer Squadron water-fuel system maintenance, and lead Master Resiliency Trainer of the course.
