PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Feds Feed Families drop off locations at Patrick Air Force Base and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station are available through August 31.
“We have about one more week to make a difference in people's lives and to be there for our nation again like we have always been,” said Staff Sgt. Terrell Phillips, of the 45th Contracting Squadron, who is organizing the collection of donations for the 45th Space Wing. “I hope as people pass the boxes with the Feds Feed Families logo on the side they will take an opportunity to pay forward the blessing by placing something in the box for families in need.”
Suggested items to donate include the following:
- Canned Foods (fruits, vegetables, soups, and high fiber foods)
- Condiments (tomato based sauces)
- Baking goods (e.g., flour, sugar baking soda, boxed mixes)
- Hygiene items (e.g, diapers, deodorant, toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo, feminine products)
Donation boxes can be found at the entrances of the following Patrick AFB locations:
- Army and Air Force Exchange
- AAFES Shoppette
- Manatee Cove Golf Course
- Airman and Family Readiness Center
- 45th Space Wing Headquarters building
On Cape Canaveral Air Force Station collection points are located at the front entrance of the AAFES Shoppette, Subway and the Pass and ID Section/Visitors Center. There is also a box on the stage at the south end of the bay in Hangar F.
