Wing commander recognizes 4,000-hour volunteer

PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Brig. Gen. Nina Armagno, 45th Space Wing commander, presented Lt. Col. (ret) Jerry Meyer with his 4,000 volunteer hours Certificate of Appreciation Jan. 13, 2014.

"We sincerely thank him for his continued support of our community and are truly impressed with his selflessness and bigheartedness," she Brig. Gen. Armagno.

In addition to serving 4,000 hours to Project Emeritus, he has volunteered with the Red Cross, Patrick AFB Pharmacy, Daily Bread, Meals on Wheels, Melbourne Police Department, and track and field events at local high schools and colleges.
