Avian Bird Flu impacts RDF, effective July 1

The following changes will take place at the Riverside Dining Facility, as of July 1, 2015, until further notice due in part to the Avian Bird Flu which has a caused a shortage of eggs, nationwide:

·Customers will be limited to only one (1) egg entrée per meal (i.e. 2 fried eggs, one omelet, one portion of scrambled eggs, breakfast sandwich, etc.)

·Use fresh shell eggs only for all made-to-order breakfast sandwiches

·Limit offering French toast to twice weekly (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

·Discontinue hot breakfast specials that contain eggs

·Discontinue hot hard boiled eggs and offer only cold hard boiled eggs in the Express Zone and Salad Bar

·Eliminate the use of eggs for all pre-made chef salads in the Express Zone

·Limit use of eggs on salad bar to twice weekly

Air Force Services Activity Service Operations Food will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates on product availability, shortages, recipe, menu changes and price adjustments.
