PATRICK SPACE FORCE BASE, Fla. -- To continue strengthening the security of our installation, Patrick Space Force Base is reinstating the Trusted Traveler program with updated requirements for all personnel entering the base.
Under the new procedures, Trusted Traveler will once again allow an authorized DoD Common Access Card or Uniformed Services ID card holder to escort passengers in their vehicle. However, every individual age 18 and older must now present a REAL ID–compliant form of identification to Security Forces personnel before being granted access.
This change ensures 100% verification of all passengers while maintaining the convenience of the Trusted Traveler program. The additional step confirms that all individuals entering Patrick SFB are U.S. citizens and meet federal access standards.
“The safety and security of our installation, mission partners, and community remains our top priority,” said Col. Brian Chatman, Space Launch Delta 45 commander. “Reinstating Trusted Traveler with this added layer of accountability helps us balance streamlined entry with the assurance that every individual entering our gates is properly vetted.”
Personnel and visitors are reminded that only REAL ID–compliant forms of identification will be accepted. Noncompliant IDs will not be valid for base access under this program. Security Forces will continue to conduct random inspections and enforce installation access policies to protect the Patrick SFB community.
