Air Force Association luncheon
The local chapter of the Air Force Association will hold its Community Partner Lunch Wednesday, Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. at The Tides. Featured speaker will be Maj. Gen. Tom Deppe, commander, 20th Air Force. General Deppe is a former vice commander of the 45th Space Wing.
"From time to time during the year, we hold a Community Partner Lunch with an Air Force speaker of interest to our members and other USAF supporters," said AFA Chapter President Chris "Prez" Bailey. "... this is the 'Gateway to Space' and most people here are pretty knowledgeable about space-related activities. However, the missile world of the 20th Air Force is virtually unknown to many here, but as the 20th Air Force is part of Air Force Space Command, we need to fill that void."
The price of the lunch is $15, payable by check or Club Card. If paying by check, mail to: AFA, 152 St. Croix Ave., Cocoa Beach, Fla 32931. If paying by Club Card, telephone Christina Bailey at 868-0288 or e-mail crbailey@qtsi.com. Deadline for reservations is Tuesday.
