Chief Master Sergeant Javier González serves as the Senior Enlisted Airman for Space Launch Delta 45 at Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. He serves as an advisor to the commander and provides direct oversight and support for over 16,000 Total Force members, families and 125,000 retirees. He guides the commander on base operating support, allowing range and launch operations, ensuring the vitality of national space activities providing support for DoD commercial Atlas, SpaceX and NASA launch vehicles.
During his career, he has held various positions at the unit and group levels, including the Joint Staff. His assignments include bases in Idaho, North Dakota, Washington, D.C., Florida, and Arizona. He also served overseas in the United Kingdon, Belgium, Republic of Korea, and has deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and Joint Special Operations Task Force JUNIPER SHIELD. Additionally, he previously served with the Security Directorate for the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and led security advisory missions for Special Operations Command Europe and Africa.
Prior to his current position, Chief González was the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 31st Mission Support Group, Aviano Air Base, Italy.
