Lent calls us to reflect on the goodness and mercy of Almighty God and our  response. We do penance to clear away what impedes our contemplation of  divine love and to create a hunger for everlasting life. We dedicate more time  to prayer and the  sacraments to hear the Lord’s call to the fullness of life. We  are inspired to recognize our role in the renewal  of society and the world.”
-Archbishop Broglio

Lenten Regulations
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of  universal fast and abstinence.
Fasting is obligatory for all who have completed their 18th year until the beginning of their 60th year. Fasting   allows a person to eat one full meal. Two smaller meals may be taken, not to equal one full meal.
Abstinence (from meat) is obligatory for all who have completed their 14th year of age (c. 1252). Fridays in Lent are obligatory days of abstinence (from meat) for all who have completed their 14th year. As always, anyone for whom fasting or abstinence would pose a health risk is excused.
Archbishop Broglio has dispensed anyone in combat from the obligation of fast and abstinence. Because no one, however, can be dispensed from Lenten penance, all those in combat are encouraged to use their hardships as penance.
All must wear a mask
Sanitize your hands before and after the service
Sit with your family
Physically distancing– six feet apart (side to side/ front and back)
Refrain from loud singing or speaking
Refrain from physical touching, especially during the Sign of Peace
Refrain from fellowship inside chapel facilities
Children must stay with their parents at all times
