Patrick AFB volunteers remove 9 tons of trash from Florida’s beach
Seventy-one volunteers removed approximately nine tons of trash and debris from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Beach, Florida, in support of the 45th Space Wing’s environmental program Nov. 5, 2015. Nine tons of trash equates to about four and a half dumpsters of material, which adds to the Spring 2015 cleanup, which removed approximately six tons. Since 2008, the running total of material removed from CCAFS is 151 tons. The team’s effort is generated from the grass roots and supported by the generous donation of volunteers' time.
