Colonel MEREDITH S. BEG

Colonel Meredith S. Beg is the Vice Commander for Operations, Space Launch Delta 45, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. As the vice commander, she leads a team of 15,000 Space Force, Air Force, and contractor personnel in integrated launch and range operations. She oversees the operations and maintenance of $20 billion in instrumentation and infrastructure for the 15-million-squaremile Eastern Range and supports launch and test customers with mission critical range technical and operational services. Furthermore, Colonel Beg leads integration of Space Launch Delta 45 efforts to innovate operations, technology, critical infrastructure, and policy to transform the Eastern Range into the Spaceport of the Future.

Colonel Beg was commissioned in the Air Force in 2001 after completing Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, AL and transferred to the Space Force in July 2021. Before assuming her current position, Colonel Beg was the Deputy Director of Operations, Servicing and Maneuver and in this roll, she was responsible for developing the On-Orbit Service and Maneuver Program of Record for the United States Space Force.

She also served as the Falcon Launch Vehicle Materiel Leader, serving as the chief Air Force engineer responsible for validating the nation’s recently added spacelift fleet was ready and capable of delivering national security satellites into orbit. Her previous headquarters experience includes serving as the Chief, Executive Action Group, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Pentagon, Washington DC and the Launch and Range Program Element Monitor, Directorate of Space Programs, Pentagon, Washington DC. Colonel Beg is an Acquisition Professional with certifications in both Systems Planning, Research
Development, and Engineering and Program Management.
