Honoring the fallen...
45th Space Wing Commander Brig. Gen. Edward L. Bolton Jr., addresses the crowd during the opening ceremonies of the 22nd Annual Vietnam and All Veterans Reunion held Monday evening in Melbourne’s Wickham Park. Behind the general is a three-fifths replica of the original Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. This wall was designed, constructed and paid for by donations from the Space Coast Community. In front of the general (not visible) is a “Some Gave All” tribute which honors the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice on Sept. 11, 2001 and in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. “I know how badly many of you were treated when you came home, but thanks to the work you have done in one generation, our troops now come home to a nation that loves them,” Gen. Bolton said to roaring approval from the crowd. “That, to me, is your greatest legacy.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Chris Calkins)
