CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Fla. -- Sharks, we are truly fortunate to be in today's Air Force. Not only are we the most knowledgeable, capable and efficient Air Force we have ever been; each of us is empowered to take control of, and carve out our future.

Through the Innovate Now! Program, Team Patrick-Cape Airmen are bringing tomorrow's processes, capabilities, and technologies out of conceptual and dream-like statuses and turning them into today's realities.

The spirit of innovation and modernization is not only part of our culture and our legacy; it is a virtue that lives within every single Airman. The success of our future depends on our ability to harness that spirit and allows it flourish. We must strive to bring it into fruition and let it grow into something larger than we originally thought possible.

First-line supervisors, superintendents, chiefs, and commanders, at all levels, it is up to you to recognize the wealth of knowledge and vast potential that we have within our force. Doing so will allow us to foster an environment of creativity and open discussion to ensure that these fantastic ideas keep getting submitted.

Thank you for your continued support and please keep the ideas coming.

August: E is for Empowerment month (Re-enforce the value of every member and the part they play in making the mission better and that they are empowered to submit ideas ... seek grassroots initiatives).
