45th OSS ensures safe flying operations at Patrick AFB

A photo taken from the 45th Operations Support Squadron’s air traffic control tower captures an A-10 Thunderbolt II taking off from Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., July 19, 2016. The 45th Space Wing hosted the 924th Fighter Group from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, who were here to train with the 920th Rescue Wing's helicopter squadron, the 301st Rescue Squadron, July 18-29, 2016. The 301st RQS operates the HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter to conduct combat search and rescue (CSAR) operations. The training focused on tactics the A-10s can apply during combat operations providing close air support for CSAR. (U.S. Air Force photos/Benjamin Thacker)
